Doris was a wonderful wife for 44 years. A great mother, grandmother and sister. After marrying she went to Winworth College, got a degree and worked as a secretary for many years.
She was a strong Christian person with a great faith in the Lord. She was a member of Country Woods Baptist.
In 1970 she longed to find her two brothers and sister she had been separated from for 16 years by adoption. After a newspaper printing her article hunting them, her sister called her. The six of them were reunited becoming a Happy Family once again.
She begin to long for a child and not being able to have children they adopted Deanna as a baby. This brought a great joy into her life. She was a great mother in every way.
Another happiness came into her life as she became a grandmother to Daniel for seven years.
In 1999 Doris's health began to decline. She was diagnosed with cancer starting a long hard battle for her. She never gave up having faith in God to give her strength. She went through many treatments to help with his never giving up until the end. She had lots of love and support from her family. She is waiting for another happy reunion with her family. We will see her again in heaven for that Happy Reunion.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Eddie Pell; sister, Mary Costilow; half brothers, Curtis Bynum and Don Smith; and half sister, Patsy Dye.
Survivors include her husband, Danny Emhovick; daughter, Deanna Emhovick; grandson, Daniel Emhovick all of Jackson; sister, Barbara Turner and husband, Red of Bruce; brothers, Louis Boyle and wife, Lisa of Coffeeville, Odis Boyle of Bruce; two half sisters, Shine Alexander of Ruleville and Dot Weeks of Waynesboro,VA.
