At an early age she came to Philadelphia, PA, and lived with a brother until her marriage. On Feb. 28, 1887 she was united in marriage to James McKay at Philadelphia, later coming to Illinois and later to Iowa their present home. Besides her husband and children, she leaves behind two sisters, Mrs. Jane Osborn, of Aledo, Illinois, and Mary, in Ireland.
