Funeral services for Elsie M. Koehn, 83, were Monday, May 13 in Zion Reformed church, north of Millersburg, with the Rev. Darrel Sams officiating. Burial was in the church's cemetery. Mrs. Koehn's death was the result of a heart attack May 9, 1974 after being hospitalized May 8 in St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. He had been in failing health, and for the past month had been a resident of teh English Valleys Nursing Home, North English. Casket bearers were George Neubauer, Ralph Burck, Otis Schultz, Harold Septer, Leonard Smith and Dean Gerard. Born north of Millersburg on Dec. 4, 1890 the deceased was the daughter of Fred and Maria Roggentien Schultz. She was educated in the Millersburg schools. Feb. 12, 1913 she married Edward Ludwig Koehn, who died November 1952. The couple resided on farms in Iowa County until 1946, when they moved to Marengo. She was a lifetime member of Zion Reformed Church. Survivors are one son, Harold F Koehn, North English,six grandchildren, Edwin, Gary, Kevin, Kim, Kandace and Kathy Koehn; also two sisters, Mrs. Clate (Frances) Gerard, Iowa City;and Mrs. William (Ollie) Schueler, Atkins; and four great grandchildren. Preceding in death were a son, Ronald Koehn, and a daughter, Gardis who died in infancy.
