Mildred M. Koehn, 74, Millersburg, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 1986 at the Keokuk County Hospital, Sigourney. Services were held at the Millersburg Methodist Church. Interment was at the Millersburg Cemetery. Mildred M. McKay was born on Dec. 10, 1911, in Buffalo Prairie, Ill, the daughter of William and Viola Murdock McKay. Her family moved to the Gibson community when she was a young girl and she graduated from the Gibson High School in 1929. That same year she married Gerald Storey. They had a son Robert. She married Ronald Koehn in 1938, and they farmed near Millersburg. They were the parents of two sons, Edwin and Garry. They also raised their neice Kim Fraser from infancy after her mother was killed. Ronald Koehn died in 1967 and in 1976 Mildred moved to Millersburg. She was a member of the Millersburg United Methodist Church and was active for 37 years in the American Legion Auxillary. Mrs. Koehn is survived by three sons: Robert W. Storey, Columbus, Ind; Edwin Koehn, Rural North English; Garry Koehn, Parnell; her mother Viola McKay, What Cheer; nine grandchildren, Phillip and Darren Storey, Brenda Ruehman, Carmen Gorsch, Gina Rank, Kendall Koehn, Stacy Sampson, Kristin and Daren Koehn: four great grandchildren; four sisters, Irene (Mrs. Tom) Baxter and Alberta (Mrs. Donald)Lewis, What Cheer; Kathleen (Mrs. George)Dillin, Marengo, and Harriet(Mrs. John) Caswell, Newton;two brothers, William McKay, Marengo, and Earl Mckay, What Cheer. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceding in death by her father, husband, a grandson Brian Koehn in 1974, a sister Virginia Fraser and three brothers, Eugene, Ralph, and Maynard McKay.
