Funeral services for La Zette Adams, 61, Houston, will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Bible Baptist Church, 2105 Wilson Rd., Humble, TX., with Brother Mike Heron officiating.
Interment will follow at Rosewood Cemetery, Humble, Tx. A visitation with the family will be from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.
La Zette was born November 4, 1958 in Houston, Tx., to Jimmye Ray Heron and Mildred Odessa (Carraway) Heron and went to be the Lord on Tuesday, August 4, 2020.
She is survived by her husband Johnny Adams; son Joshua Adams; brothers Jim Heran and wife Nancy and Mike Heron and wife Pam.
La Zette was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmye and Mildred Heron as well as her brother Bill Heron.
For the last 35 years, La Zette was a member of Bible Baptist Church and worked in many ministries within the church. She loved working with the children (she was known as Aunt Sissy to many of the kids of which are now grown) and singing in the choir as well as doing solos.
As further proof of her love for children, she worked as a Daycare Director for Aldine I.S.D. La Zette retired with over 30 years of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family has ask for donations to be made to children's charities, specifically, for autism and childhood cancer.
Her death occurred during the time of the Coronavirus of the 2020s.
La Zette lived to be 61 years and 9 months old.
