3rd Class passenger
First Embarked: Southampton on Wednesday 10th April 1912
Ticket No. 4133 , £25 9s 4d
Destination: Mystic, Iowa, United States,
where the husband and father Frank was working as a Coal Miner. Died in the sinking.
Body Not Recovered∼Marie Lefebvre was traveling in third class with her four children on board the Titanic.
Frances Marie Anselme was the daughter of Anselme Louis Joseph Daumont and Catherine L. David.
She had at least six siblings:
Anselme (17 April 1861-?)
Francois (1865-?)
Catherine (1874-?
Maria (1876-?)
Celinie (19 Oct. 1879-18 Dec. 1968)
Angele (1885-?)
As the eldest child, she worked as a day labourer to support the many younger siblings she had.
Marie fell in love with Francois "Franck" Marie Joseph Jules Lefebvre and the two were married on 25th January 1896, in Lievin, France. Probably due to the actual marriage cost, Franck and Marie married after the birth of the first three of their children: Marie, Franck and Celina.
It is interesting to note, the three eldest children were all born at 2am. Years later, this would be the same time Marie and four of her children would drown.
After the marriage, the couple had six more children: Jules, Mathilde, Anselme, Jeanne, Henri and Ida.
Franck immigrated with four of the older children to Mystic, Iowa and a year later sent a ticket for his wife and four younger children. Their son, Jules, stayed in France due to his military career.
What is interesting to note is after the Titanic disaster, Franck appealed about his wife and children. He was told they sailed and were unaccounted for. Giving his basic information, he was later arrested after the information unintentionally exposed Franck for entering America under misleading and false statements.
Records show he came back in America, after his immigration with another woman and her young son. The three traveling as a family.
Franck and three of his children were deported back to France.
Marie and her four children died in the disaster and their bodies were not recovered.∼Buried beneath the waves of the Atlantic ocean. Titanic disaster victim. There is a Cenotaph (non burial tribute monument) for her at Lefebvre Family Memorial, Find a Grave Memorial #214205128.
