Born in Canada
Died in Tuscola County Michigan
Married Effie Wilsie of Dayton Twsp 1884

The funeral services of the late
George Belles, were held at the
home of his sister, Mrs. Frank
Stout, four and a half miles east
and one mile north of Mayville,
Thursday afternoon at two
o'clock, Rev. H. H. Ford, D. D.,
officiating.
The choir composed of Wm.
Atkinson, P. Temple, Mrs.
Claude Rice, and Mrs. Dr. F, E.
Dodds, of Silverwood, rendered
three touching selections. Many
friends and neighbors attended
the services.
George Belles was born in
Canada, June 5, 1856. When a
babe his parents moved to Michigan
(actually Illinois). Until 25 years ago, the
deceased lived at Dayton since
then he has been a Mayville resident.
In the month of May, 1884, he was
united in marriage to Miss Effie
Wilsie, of Dayton, who preceded
him to that long home from
which none return, four year ago.
While visiting his sister, Mrs.
Frank Stout, he was taken sick,
which later on developed into
pneumonia. All that could be
done by kind and willing and
loving hands could not keep the
King of Terrors away, and Feb.
18th he passed away.
He leaves to mourn his loss
two sisters, Mrs. Frank Stout, of
Dayton, and Mrs. E. M. Siver, of
Detroit, also two brothers, Frank
of Silverwood, and William, of
Dayton, besides a host of friends.
He was laid away temporarily
in the Mayville vault, to be interred
later on in the family lot.*

CARD OF THANKS
We wish to thank the neighbors
and friends for their kind assistance
during the illness and death
of our brother. Also those who
furnished cars, those who sent
the beautiful flowers, the singers
and Rev. Ford for his words of
sympathy and comfort.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stout,
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Belles,
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Belles,
Mrs. E. M. Siver.*
