Albert is the son of Nels & Emma Charlotta Rosengren Soder. Albert married Nellie Susanne Johnson. Four children were born to this union: Keats, Darwin, Lenore and Nelberta who died as infant.
Albert is my great-granduncle.

Former Resident Interred Sunday in Local Cemetery

Graveside services were held at Oakwood cemetery Sunday afternoon for Albert R. Soder, who died last week in his home at Des Moines.

Mr. Soder was at one time a resident of this community, having grown to manhood in this community and residing here for a quite a number of years before his removal from Stratford.

We hope to be able to secure his obituary for our next issue. (Note: No obituary in following issues.)

Shoveling Snow, Has Fatal Heart Attack

Funeral services were being arranged Friday for Albert Soder, 79, of 1726 York st., who suffered a fatal heart attack while shoveling snow in front of his home Thursday.

Soder was a retired horticulturist. The body is at the Dahlstrom Funeral home.

Albert S. Soder Funeral Sunday

Services for Albert S. Soder, 78, of 1726 York st., will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Dahlstrom's funeral home. Burial will be in Stratford.

Mr. Soder, who died of a heart ailment Thursday at his home, came to Des Moines from Stratford six years ago. He was a retired farmer.

Surviving are his widow; two sons, Keats of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Darwin of Wichita, Kan.; a daughter, Mrs. George Nied of Rock Island, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Charles Abramson of Cambridge, Minn.; a brother, John of St. Paul, Minn., and five grandchildren.
