Hope resident David Lee "Salmon Dave" Aberle, 40, a commercial fisherman, died June 27 in St. Vincent's Hospital in Portland, Ore. after a prolonged illness. Funeral arrangements were held at Kehl's Forest Lawn Chapel with Rev. Alfred W. Giebel of St. Benedict's Catholic Church officiating. Burial will take place at Angelus Memorial Park.
Mr. Aberle was born Aug. 29, 1950, in Los Angeles, Calif. He is survived by his father, Daniel; his mother, Virginia; his brothers Bill and Ed, all of Anchorage; and his sister, Darly Lynn of Eureka, Calif.
