On May 16th, 2002, Jayda Ayiana Alston was born to Natalie Lynch and Robert Alston. She
received her wings after being hospitalized in Vidant Medical Center on March 30th at
10:53pm.
Jayda inquired of salvation while standing in her memeโs closet and fully accepted Christ at
the age of 15.
She was a senior at Northern Nash High School (class of 2020) and enjoyed cooking, doing
hair, riding four wheelers, dancing, making silly videos, and spending time with her family
and friends.
Jayda was preceded in death by one brother Nathan. She is survived by her mother Natalie;
her step-father Maurice Cobb; her father Robert (Jadea); brother Robert Jr (RJ), sister
Namauri, maternal grandmother Brenda (James) Boone; maternal grandfather Nathaniel
Lynch; paternal grandmother Zelda Moore, paternal grandfather Robert Williams; her
sister/right hand Lauren, best friends: Jasmine Anstead and Slime Ball; god-mother April
Jenkins, god-brother Lil Mike; and a host of relatives and friends.
Jayda loved so many and was loved by so many more. She had an energy that with just one
encounter with her, you would remember her forever.
Jayda will always be remembered for her free spirit, her beautiful smile, her big heart, her
sense of humor, and her EYE LASHES!!
