The family of Donna Abshire are mourning the loss of their loved one who was called from this life on July 10, 2020, at the age of 56. Donna was born in Jennings, LA to Andrus LeJeune and Bessie Theriot on October 19, 1963. She was a graduate of Lake Arthur High School and attended Houston Community College. Donna enjoyed cooking, gardening, skiing, and traveling. She also loved the beach, but not as much as she loved spending time with her family. Donna will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Donna is survived by her children, Tiffani Michelle Abshire of Spring, TX and Derek James Abshire of Conroe, TX; mother, Bessie Theriot of Lockport, LA; siblings, Terry LeJeune, Michael LeJeune, Curtis LeJeune, and Kathy Salgado; former spouse, James Abshire; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her father, Andrus LeJeune; and infant siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Donna Abshire will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, July 22nd from 9:00 AM until the time of her Funeral Service.
Burial will follow Donna's services in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
