Ryan Hodges, 26, was a spirited individual that blessed the lives of all he befriended. He was born in the City of Oceanside and raised in the area of Lake Elsinore where he attended both Linfield and Temescal Canyon High Schools. After high school he moved to Oregon where he worked as a chef and attended college. Oregon was one of Ryan's true loves. He had recently moved back to Lake Elsinore where he secured a job working with an autistic child and further explored his Christian faith while volunteering his time at Cornerstone Community Church. Ryan had a love for all people and had what some would call a "Heart of Gold." He made lasting friendships with individuals of all ages and displayed a selfless nature in his constant desire to please others before himself. He could lift the spirits in any room with his warm smile, his big bear hug, and his uncanny ability to quote comedic movie lines. Ryan was a loving family member, a loyal friend, and a unique individual with a character that touched many lives. Ryan passed in the early morning hours of August 12th as a result of a tragic vehicle accident. He will be missed dearly by all. He is survived by his mother Jane Hodges, father Tim Hodges, sister Hillary Whittington, brother-in-law Jeffrey Whittington, and grandmothers Patricia Robb and Gretchen Hodges. Services will be held on Thursday August 17, at 11:00 am at Cornerstone Community Church located at 34570 Monte Vista Dr., Wildomar, CA 92595. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lake Elsinore Police Dept. Youth Court Program at 333 Limited Ave, Lake Elsinore CA, 92530.
