She was born in Gaston County, daughter of the late David E. and Mary Alice Roseman Lawing.
FUNERAL: 3 p.m. Sunday, Mt. Zion Baptist Church
INTERMENT: Hillcrest Gardens
VISITATION: 6-9 tonight at the church; other times at the home of Ruby and Roger Fisher, 2318 Mariposa Road, Stanley
She was a longtime member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Alexis, and was retired from J.P. Stevens in Stanley.
SURVIVORS: 4 sons, Arthur F. McGinnis, Jim McGinnis and wife Mary, Gary McGinnis and wife Terry, all of Stanley, Reid McGinnis and wife Brenda of Dallas; 3 daughters, Faye M. Bean and Katherine M. Lewis, both of Hickory, Ruby M. Fisher and husband Roger of Stanley; a sister, Louise Bollinger of Stanley; 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren
PRECEDED IN DEATY BY: Her husband of 67 years, Marvin F. McGinnis; 7 brothers and 3 sisters
