Blanche Peggy Emerzian Abajian

Born to Krikor and Eliza Emerzian on September 12, 1922, in Kingsburg, Ca.

Peggy passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2007, after a massive stroke three years prior.

Peggy graduated from Selma High School in 1942.

Upon graduating, she moved to Long Beach, CA, where she joined in the ongoing WWII efforts, serving like so many other women of her era in the ranks of the Defense Department in San Pedro.

In 1946, following the War, she would marry her lifelong family friend and love of her life Mesik Abajian.

They would go on to build a home on the Bethel Avenue ranch where they raised their two daughters, Wendy and Shelly.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Krikor and Eliza Emerzian, her sister, Gladys 'Sissy' Emerzian Mininger, and her nephew, Manuel Emerzian, Jr.

Peggy is survived by Mesik Abajian, her loving husband of 61 years; her daughters, Dr. Wendy E. Abajian of Toluca Lake, Ca. and Shelly H. Abajian of Selma; her brothers, Manuel Emerzian of Selma, Ca and Horan Abe Emerzian of Ontario, Ca.; and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great great nieces, and great great nephews.

Interment at the Fowler Cemetery.
