Callistus Kelly Ruth Young, 76, of Coralville, died Thursday, February 23, 2006, at Mercy Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
Kelly was born on October 14, 1929, in Bloomfield, Nebraska, to James and Marie (Slezak) Turek. She married Kenny Young on April 12, 1952, in Plainview, Nebraska.
Kenny passed away on February 21, 2000.
Kelly worked as a dietary technician for the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.
Kelly is survived by her children, Rod (Donna) and Greg (Sharon); her grandchildren, Brian Young, Alicia (Matt) Hayes, Scott Young, Doug Studer and Mindy Studer and her great-grandchildren, Jaise Studer and Emma and Claire Hayes.
Kelly was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, James Turek, Richard Turek and Frank Turek and sisters, Mary Green, Lillian Kubicek and Helen Shuster.
Visitation: Visitation will be from 2 - 7 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home, in Coralville.
Memorials can be made in Kellys name to the Coralville American Legion or the Coralville Morning Optimist.
Service: Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 27, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at Lensings Oak Hill, 210 Holiday Road. Pastor Thomas Carver will officiate. Burial will be at Oakhill Cemetery, Coralville.
