Mr. David Wayne Adams , age 57, of North Vernon, Indiana, entered this life on March 18, 1963 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was the son of Thomas Adams and Jeri Spilman and was raised in Oakland City, Indiana and Raceland, Kentucky. David was inducted into the United States Air Force on November 13, 1980 in Columbus, Ohio. He served as a security specialist and served in Guam and later served as a staff sergeant serving during Desert Storm. He was honorably discharged on October 25, 1991, at Grissom Air Force Base receiving the Commendation Medal, Small Arm Expert Marksmanship, National Defense Service Medal, the Air Force Good Conduct Medal, the Joint Meritorious Unit Award for the support to the Presidential Counternarcotics Task Force. David was united in marriage to Jessica and this union was blessed with a daughter, Candice. He worked as a saftey officier for Interstate Mechanical Contractors for North American Stainless in Ghent, Kentucky. He then had a companionship and was blessed with a daughter, Amber. He also worked as a cable technician with Apollo Communications. On June 13, 1987 David was united in marriage to Tammy Lyon and this union was blessed with a daughter, Hannah. He also worked as a correctional officer for the State of Indiana for several years. In 1998 he was united in marriage to Melanie Banks and this union was blessed with a son, Cody. He had worked for Thomas Plastic Machinery in Scottsburg and with Biehle Electric in Seymour as an electrician. He was of the Baptist faith. David died on Saturday, June 20, 2020, at 11:00 PM at his residence in North Vernon, Indiana.

A LOVING FAMILY
David will be missed by his loving daughters, Candice Murray and her husband, Marcus of Grayson, Kentucky, Amber Reeves and her husband, Logan of Helena, Alabama, Hannah Adams of Madison, Indiana; his loving son, Cody Adams of Mooresville, Indiana; his beloved grandchildren, Makena Adams, Kylie Warnock, Maddie Murray, Owen Reeves, and Lincoln Adams; brother, Jeffrey Adams; his loving sisters, Tommy Adams, and his wife, Jennifer of Oakland City, Indiana, Brooke Staten and her husband, Bobby of Raceland, Kentucky, Kimberly Spilman of Raceland, Kentucky, Meredith Bysarovich and her husband, Derek of Oakland, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his step brother, Timmy Spilman, his step father, Tom Spilman, his grandparents, Bob and Evolene Adams, and Robert and Wanda Cropper, his grandchildren, Mylee Jo Stitzel and Mason Stitzel.

FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 29, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. by Pastor Ed Roberts at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1415 North Gate Road Madison, Indiana.

VISITATION
Friends may call Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive Madison, Indiana.

FINAL SALUTE
A final salute will be conducted on Monday at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre by the Major Samuel Woodfill Post No. 9 of the American Legion with full military honors to follow at the cemetery.
