Services for Virgle Ennis Taylor, Jr., 61, of Levelland will be at 4 p.m. Monday in Geo. C. Price Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Charles Luke, pastor of Levelland Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of Geo. C. Price Funeral Directors. Taylor died at 4:57 a.m. Saturday in Lubbock's Methodist Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Paducah and moved to Levelland in 1984 from Plainview. He married Artie Helvey Savage on Nov. 6, 1957 in Lovington, NM. He was a farmer and an Army Veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Joe and Bennie of Russellville, Ark., and Roy of Levelland; two stepsons, Wayne Crisp of Levelland and James Michael Crisp of Plainview; two daughters, Rebecca Bradshaw of Plainview and Lynn Damrath of Levelland; two step-daughters, Glenda Edwards of Elk City, Okla., and Darline Garrett of Levelland; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Virgle Taylor Sr. of Dumas; three brothers, Jackie of Levelland, Doyle of Dumas and John of Amarillo; five sisters, Jeannie Sell, Kathy Stewart and Sally Perkins, all of Dumas, Mary Patterson of Lubbock and Loretta Mixon of Fritch; and 26 grandchildren.
