Paul F. Atterberry, age 71, of Fulton, Missouri passed away at Harry S. Truman Veterans Hospital 0n Columbia, Missouri,on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 with his family by his side.

Paul was born on January 17, 1949 in Fulton, the son of the late Paul F. Sr. and the late Gladys (Hoover) Atterberry.

Paul was united in marriage to Patricia "Patty" Louise (Williams) Atterberry on March 22, 1975. Patty survives his passing. They were married forty-five years.

Paul was a graduate of Fulton High School Class of 1967. Following graduation, Paul proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Upon returning home, Paul worked at Kaiser/National Brick Factory in Mexico, Missouri and Fulton State Hospital. In his spare time he enjoyed bluegrass music, dancing, hunting, fishing and collecting knives, coins and matchbox cars. He loved to go to Karen's Diner to drink coffee and swaping stories. He never met a stranger. Paul also loved family get togethers.

His best times were with his family, especially his grandchildren, Jace and Olivia and Cooper. Olivia was his "little helper" waiting on him and going out to eat with her grandpa.

Paul's memory will be cherished by his family, including his wife, Patty, of forty-five years; children, Aaron Thomas Atterberry (Sarah), Derek Paul Allen Atterberry, Brandy Nichole (Atterberry) Cofeltt (Joe) and Jeffrey Paul Schoening; grandchildren, Shawn Browning, Jarod Atterberry, Jordon Atterberry, Olivia Coffelt, Jace Atterberry, Cali Aust, Isabella Aust, Lauren Schoening and Julian Schoening; great-grandchildren, Cooper Atterberry and Addalynn Atterberry.

Paul is also survived by brothers, Roger, David and Jerry Atterberry; sister, Rosemary Fletcher (Bill); sister-in-law, Marsha Byrd (Charles), numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Misty DeLynn Louise Atterberry; brother, Donald "Don" Atterberry; grandparents; father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Geraldine "Jerry" Williams; sisters-in-law, Sandra "Sandy" (Williams)Estabrook and Pamela "Pam" (Williams) Childers, brothers-in-law, Larry Estabrook, Jim Stewart and Robert Childers.

Funeral service will be at 11:00am on June 23, 2020 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton., with Pastor Mike Crowson officiating. Interment with Military Honors will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Memorial donations are suggested to Dialysis Clinic Inc. in Fulton.

Thanks to all of the donations to the dialysis clinic whom Paul considered his second family. He cherished their friendship and the care he received was phenomenal. He loved each and everyone of them, staff and patients.
Also thank you all for the beautiful plants and flowers he would of loved.
