WASHINGTON, N.C. -- Lawrence William "Larry" Prokey Jr., 54, of 110 Cedar Lane died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003 at the Beaufort County Hospital He was born in Pamlico County and was a member of the Washington Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was the former owner and operator of P&W Vinyl Siding Company of Bridgeton and was a retired insurance salesman with Liberty Mutal Life and American General Life Insurance companies. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Washington Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with President Jim Draper officiating. Burial will be in the William Keech Family Cemetery, Free Union Community of Pinetown. Survivors include his widow, Eileen Beck Prokey; two daughters, Alice Jeanine Prokey of Reelsboro and Sharon Diane Breedlove of Virginia; one son, Lawrence William Prokey III of New Bern; one sister, Debra Hilda Prokey Hayes of Virginia; and four grandchildren. The family will hold visitation from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Hillside Funeral Service, Washington. Arrangements by Hillside Funeral Service.
