Ralph Wilson Cash, 80, widower of Doris Aileen (Seaman) Cash, of Seaman Lane in Montebello, died June 23. He was born Sept. 8, 1926, in Vesuvius, a son of the late Marcus Luther and Lillian (Shoemaker) Cash.
He retired from the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries where he had served as superintendent of the Montebello Fish Hatchery. He was a member of the Steeles Tavern VFW Post #8279, the Montebello Fire and Rescue Company, and enjoyed farming.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Francis L. Cash, Carlisle L. Cash, Everett W. Cash, Clarence T. Cash, Russell O. Cash, and Harold W. Cash.
He is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Luther Wilson and Catherine Cash of Fairfield, and Stanley Hill and Kim Cash of Montebello; a grandson Taylor Michael Cash; and a sister, Flora Bell (Cash) Humphries of Waynesboro. A graveside service was held on June 25 in the Haines Chapel Cemetery.
