TEACHER LEAVES $127,000 ESTATE

Charities Will Share With Relatives in Benefits

Spokane charitable institutions and distant relatives will receive the $127,000 of Miss Evon Lillian Abbott, schoolteacher, who dies recently at the age of 46, according to her will filed for probate yesterday by Attorney W. S. Gilbert, executor.

Miss Abbott was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Van Ness J. Abbott. Her father, after many years as a mechanic with the Northern Pacific railroad, dealt in real estate for some years before his death five years ago. He left his estate principally to his widow, and when she died last January she left it all to the daughter.

Saved Own Earnings

Miss Abbott received $76,751 net from her mother's estate. Including this, Miss Abbott's estate inventoried $127,049, indicating that she had invested wisely during the years she taught school near St. Maries, Idaho.

The estate include about $10,000 in cash, Central Unit Trustee business property units valued at $10,200, about $25,000 in United State Bonds and the $76,751 from her mother's estate.

In her will, Miss Abbott left 5-18 of her property, share and share alike, to eight first and second cousins of her father and mother, classified as group one.

These live in New York, California, Vermont and Michigan.

Another group, including 11 cousins of her parents living principally in Vermont, will divide 1-18 of the estate.

Nearly Half to Cousin

Another 7-18 of the estate is left in trust to a cousin, Stanley A. Hubbard of Rochester, VT., who will receive $2,000 immediately and the income from the trust, together with $5,000 in addition every three years. On his death this portion is to be divided among other cousins.

The remaining 5-18 is left in trust for an aunt, Blanch Dunham Hubbard, who will receive $2,000 immediately and the income from the trust. On her death the balance in the trust is to be divided equally between the Y.W.C.A., Spokane County Chapter of the Red Cross, Spokane County Tuberculosis League, Bethany Old People's home, and the Spokane branch of the Washington Children's Home Finding Society. The Old National Bank is trustee.
