Maudie Elizabeth Perkins, age 88, resident of Fillmore/Ventura, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 in Ventura.

Maudie was born on Jan. 19, 1922 in Abilene, Texas. Maudie was a resident of Ventura County for 51 years. Maudie loved spending time with her best friend, Louise Henderson. Maudie was an avid Dodger fan. She loved taking care of her grandchildren. Some of Maudie's hobbies were cooking and baking. She loved doing crossword puzzles, arts and crafts, as well as gardening.

Maudie is survived by her sister, Jodi Langston; daughters, Brenda Hawkins, Beverly Burnoe, and Barbra Everett; sons, Kenneth (Royetta) Perkins, Larry Perkins, John (Debbie) Perkins, Joe Perkins, James (Pam) Perkins; 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 1 at Skillin Carroll. A Chapel Service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 2, following a burial at Bardsdale.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Skillin Carroll Mortuary FD 200, 600 N. Central Ave., Fillmore, CA 93015.
