Gregory was the son of Judy Ford-Cummings and stepson of George Cummings. His biological father was Jim Reeves, who was killed in a plane crash, on July 31, 1964, when Gregory was two years old. Gregory roped and rode bulls in rodeos since he was three years old.
He worked for Tangran Rehabilitation in San Marcos for three years and the Austin ISD for six years and later worked for several years with Ehrhart in the Texas House of Representatives. He was most proud of the book he wrote and was published about his mom and best friend that was titled-Judy Ford World Champion Cowgirl.
Survived by his parents, Judy Ford-Cummings and George Cummings and his half brothers, Ray and George III.
