Mr. Jodie L. McCubbin, 54, of Mt. Vernon, New York, formerly of Campbellsville, son of the late Mr. D. L. McCubbin and Mrs. Katherine Bale McCubbin, was born in Taylor County, March 4, 1917. He died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, March 27th, 1971, at the Mt. Vernon City Hospital in Mt. Vernon, New York. He was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church and a retired veteran of the U.S. Army after having served in both World War II and the Korean War. He united in marriage to Miss Albertina Bopp on July 4th, 1942. To this union three children were born, all of whom survive: Mr. Joseph Lewis McCubbin of Danberry, Conn., Mrs. Mary Ferrell of Yonkers, New York, and Miss Katherine McCubbin of Mt. Vernon, New York. Besides his wife and children, he is also survived by two grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Katherine Chapman of Campbellsville. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning, March 31, in the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home by Dr. J. Chester Badgett. Burial was in the Lebanon National Cemetery.
