David Abraham Abdalla went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in January 2016 at his home in Arlington, Virginia. He was born on July 19, 1960 in Houston, Texas.
David grew up in Houston and graduated from Westbury High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Texas A&M University, a Jurisprudence Degree from South Texas College of Law, and a Master's degree in environmental law from the University of Houston Law Center. He served as an Associate at Bracewell & Giuliani LLP Houston before obtaining his Master's degree and moving to Washington, D.C. to serve as an Enforcement Attorney LLM for the Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance at the Environmental Protection Agency. David was an intelligent man, graced with wit and charm. He spoke often of Camp Peniel Christian Camp, was voted a Westbury Rebel Guard, spent his freshman year in the Texas A&M University Corps of Cadets, and grew to be an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fly fishing, hiking and shooting sports. He spent summer vacations as a child in the Rocky Mountains, where his family built a cabin by hand, and he later climbed with his brother one of Colorado's great mountains over 14,000 feet, Longs Peak. As a young man he enjoyed traveling and, after moving to Washington, D.C. in 1991, he honed his horse-riding skills and learned to play polo. David's friends knew him as a big personality and a generous man who was always quick to encourage others. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and was baptized in 1972. As an adult, he enjoyed the ministry of Charles Stanley and gained deep knowledge of the Bible through the teaching of Les Feldick Ministries.
