Pastor Dr. Connie Marie Meier
She passed away May 10, 2020 in Byron, Michigan. She resided in Flint and Davison until semi-retiring to Byron. Connie was preceded in death by her mother and father, sister Penny Lee, brother Samuel Shoemaker, and great granddaughter Bella Rose Clark.
Connie was a 1961 graduate of Beecher High School in Flint. She was also a graduate of Faith Tech Bible School and Zarephath Christian College where she earned a doctorate in Theology. Connie completed light learning Institute Program from the American Association of Christian Counselors.
She was the Vice President of Dayspring Ministries and also co-pastored Dayspring Ministries Fellowship Church in Flint for 27 years. Connie established Faith Tech Bible School in Flint. She co-founded Zarephath Christian College and Theological Seminary in Flint. Connie was a member of the Michigan Concert Choir. She served the Lord as a Pastor, Professor, Counselor, Overseas Missionary - serving in India, the Philippines, China, Africa, Haiti, Russia, Italy, as well as many other European countries. Connie enjoyed conducting plays, musicals, opera, and religious productions, making sure they were on par with her sense of fashion and style, which was always and properly on display.
