Services for Katie R Young, 86 of 6404 Tulsa St were to be at 1 pm today (14 April 1980)at Rose-Neath Funeral Home's Marshall Street Chapel with Dr. Billy Smith, pastor of South Side Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was to be in Forest Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Young Died Friday at Doctors' Hospital after a long illness. She was a native of Panola County, Texas, who lived in Shreveport for 56 years.
Survivors include daughter, Ellie Taylor of Shreveport; sisters, Nellie Greeg and Winnie Moore, both of Longview, Texas; brothers, Lawrence Rouse, Troy Rouse, and Leonard Rouse all of Longview; three grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were to be Larry Pledger, Ed Kerningan, J.D. Warren, A.T. Bunn, Robert E Hnnigan and Ray Gibbs.
