Homer Brewer Services Monday

Services for Homer Brewer, 65, Dallas, formerly of Tyler, are set for 2 p.m. Monday at Liberty Baptist Church with the Revs. George O'Neal, S.K. Bizzell and Royal Black officiating.

Burial will be in Shady Cemetery under direction of Brooks-Sterling Funeral Home of Tyler.

Mr. Brewer died Wednesday in a Mesquite hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born Feb. 28, 1919, in Smith County.

He attended Smith County public schools, retired from Cotton Belt Railroad Co. in 1975 and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter Zeffie Louise Brewer, Chicago, Ill.; two sisters, Lois Black, Tyler, and Fayetta Brewer, New Jersey; a brother, James Brewer, Tyler; and a nephew, Rochester Black, Tyler.

Pallbearers will be Willie Campbell, Louie Thompson, Rochester Black, Julius Campbell, Earl Thomas Edwards, Charles H. Miller, Alphonso Black and T.B. Hammons.

Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Liberty Baptist Church.
