Virginia Rebecca THAYER was the daughter of Frances Marion THAYER and his second wife, Olive Alma ROBERTSON. Virginia was born on February 11th, 1904 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

She had three sisters: Abbie Francis THAYER (1907 - 1964); Ihion Marion "Lizzie" THAYER (1908 - 1957); and Louise Flora THAYER (1911 - 1946).

On August 13th, 1918, fourteen-year old Virginia married twenty-one year old Holcomb Prentis WRIGHT. They had one child together:

1) Harvey Holcomb WRIGHT (1919 - 1979)

When Harvey was six years old, Virginia & Holcomb divorced with Holcomb retaining custody of Harvey. The divorce was finalized on September 21, 1925.

On September 7th, 1930, Virginia married Lee Madden TELLER in a beach ceremony held at McFaddin Beach on a Sunday afternoon in front of 300 guests. As published in The Port Arthur News, Monday September 8th, 1930 edition: "WEDDING CEREMONY CONDUCTED AT BEACH/The wedding of Miss Virginia WRIGHT and Lee TELLER took place on McFaddin beach Sunday afternoon with B. B. GRAY, Justice of the peace of Sabine officiating. More than 300 persons witnessed the ceremony following which Mr. and Mrs. TELLER left for a month's honeymoon to West Texas points."

Virginia & Lee became the parents of four children with only one living to adulthood.

3) Ruth Rebecca TELLER (1933 - 1933)
4) Virginia Irene TELLER
5) Frank Lary TELLER (1936 - 1936)

Virginia was active in various school programs such as the PTA, worked with the Camp Fire Girls, and managed a sub-county library opened in 1947 in the Sabine Pass school.

On November 11th, 1947, Virginia died at the age of forty-three. Her will was probated on January 22nd, 1948.

Virginia was cremated. Per her Burial Record, her ashes were placed in the Magnolia Cemetery at Space #26 in Baby Land--the same space as baby daughter, Ruth Rebecca. (REF: Thank you Amy@MagnoliaOffice on 5/6/2020)
