Lewis Neil Elwood of North 3017 Stevens Street, Spokane, Wash., died Friday, Nov. 20. He was born in Huzzah, Missouri, on May 20, 1911, and spent most of his life as a farmer in different areas around New Auburn. He was married to Lillian Cathers of New Auburn, who preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by three sisters, one brother, two sons and four grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife Lura; daughters, Juanita Perry of Lindstrom, Minn., Sharon Green of Madison, Charlotte Jeschra of Sheldon, Wis., and Iris Hartje of LaValle, Wis.; sons Clifford and Michael Elwood of Bloomer, Floyd and Franklin Elwood of Chippewa Falls, Alan Slaver of Iowa, and Charles Mundt of the U.S. Navy; one brother, John Elwood of Weyerhaeuser; two sisters, Ida Hunter of Rockford Ill., and Lenore Richmond of Tacoma, Wash.; 23 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
