A relic, a sliver of her bone, was placed on Mr. Kalin's body to reinforce their prayers. A few hours later he awoke. Dr. Flood certified his recovery was miraculous and that it was through the intercession of Mother Seton that his patient was cured
-present at the canonization of Mother Seton by Pope Paul VI on September 14, 1975 in Rome, making her the first native born United States citizen to be canonized
-maintained a private practice in cardiology/internal medicine before retiring to Vero Beach, FL
