William M. "Pete" Day, Sr SHREVEPORT, LA - William M. "Pete" Day, Sr. passed away on August 21, 2002 at Christus Schumpert, Highland Hospital in Shreveport at the age of 85. Visitation will be held at Os-born Funeral Home from 2 until 5 p.m. on Thursday, August 22. . Graveside services will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 23, 2002 at Forest Park Cemetery. Officiating will be Dr. Pat Day, Senior Pastor of First United Methodist Church. He was born on March 21, 1917 in Bright Star, Arkansas. He was the former owner cf Shreveport Rentals and Sales on Linwood Avenue. Earlier in his career he was a Division Sales Manager for Mid-Continent Supply Company of Ft. Worth, Texas. During WW II he served with the Navy SeaBees in the Pacific. He is preceded in death by his parents. Pat and India Day; brother, Charles David Day; sister, Doyle Day Smith. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nell Perry Day; sons, Pete of Doddridge, AR, and Bill of Haughton, LA; sister, Billie Jean Munnerlyn of Vivian; three grandchildren, Will of Chicago, IL, Perry of Baton Rouge, and Molly of Haughton; and one great-grandson, William of Chicago, IL.
