Mrs. Margaret M. (Ryan) Murphy, 55, 19 Green Street, widow of William J. Murphy, died suddenly at home on Sunday.
Born in Worcester, she lived in Lynn for 5 years and was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Sodality of St. Joseph's Church and a World War I widows' organization.
She leaves a son, John T. Murphy of Lynn; two daughters, Miss Mary Murphy and Mrs. Catherine Finnigan, both of Lynn; a brother Gerald Ryan of Worcester, and five grandchildren.
The funeral was held Thursday from Donovan's at 9 School Street, with a Requiem Mass in St. Joseph's Church. The Rev, John A. Sears was celebrant of the Mass.
Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery where Fathers Sears said committal prayers.
Bearers were Warren Fuller, Robert Ryan, Edward White, Robert Snyder, Thomas Finnigan and Thomas Cahill.
