Mrs. Martha J. Abbey, 54, 1421 Conkling, died Dec. 28, 1948, In Faxton Hospital after two month illness.
Born Mar. 14, 1894, in Albany she was a daughter of Albert and Ella Dayton Wiswall and came to Utica as a child. On July 31, 1915, she was married to Clifford W. Abbey, Onondaga Hill. She attended Tabernacle BaptistChurch.
Surviving are her husband, three brothers, Albert D. Wiswall, Waterloo; Parker J. Wiswall, Castorland, and Henry J. Wiswall, Utica; five sisters, Mrs. Albert J. Phillipe, Mrs. Lansing G. Phelps, Mrs. Herbert S. O'Neal and Mrs. Arthur Gleason, Buffalo, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday from her home. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
