Douglas A. Betz, 61, of East Hanover Township, Dauphin County passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 at home.
Born April 15, 1955 in Hershey, he was the son of the late Michael, Jr. and Lucille G. (Leonard) Betz.
A retired painter from Hershey Entertainment and Resort, he was a 1973 graduate of Lower Dauphin High School and attended the Penn State Labor Institution. He was a member of First Evangelical Congregational Church, Palmyra, Local Union 464, and the National Rifle Association. He was an avid hunter, loved the outdoors, and enjoyed farming with his father.
Surviving are his children Ann Marie Lupacckino and husband Anthony, Logan Betz and wife Valerie, Jennifer O'Donnell and her husband Jordan, and Matthew Betz; sister Deanna L. Painter and husband Joe; grandchildren Isabella Lupacckino
, Sophia Luppackino, Gabriella Luppackino, and Hayes Betz.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra proceeded by a viewing at 10:00 AM. Interment in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Road, Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
