W.J. MURPHY DIES AT 50

William J, Murphy 50, of 32 Newhall street, a brother of Miss Catherine L. Murphy, supervisor of schools, died suddenly this morning from a heart attack.
Born in Lynn he was a life long resident of this city and was a graduate of St. Mary's Commercial High School. For the past few years he has been employed as a salesman for a Lawrence concern.
He leaves his father, Michael W. Murphy; a widow, Margaret (Ryan) Murphy; two daughters, Mary and Catherine Murphy, all of Lynn, a son, John Murphy of the U.S. Navy; a brother, John Murphy of Lynn; and four sisters, Miss Catherine L. Murphy, Miss Theresa Murphy, girls' physical instructor at Classical High school; Mrs. Warren B. Fuller, of New Jersey, and Mrs. Thomas C. Quirk of Watertown.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at the Cuffe Funeral Home on Johnson street at 8:30 AM., followed by a solemn requiem high mass at 9:45 PM in St. Joseph's church.
William J. Murphy was a Veteran of World War I and fought in the -Battle of Argonne Forest.-
