L. W. Nickerson -- Graveside services for Lemual Wooster (L. W.) Nickerson of Sheridan, who died Saturday in McMinnivell Hospital, were held Monday afternoon [1/17/1977] at Green Crest Memorial Park of Sherridan with Adamson's Sheridan Funeral Home directing.

Nickerson was born January 19, 1901, in Almena, Kans. the son of Hiram S. and Clara Phillips Nickerson. He married Almedia Pearl Warner on February 28, 1923, in Tribune, Kans. They first moved to Wendling Ore., in 1926 but returned to Kansas in 1930.

They moved to Trent, Ore., in 1935 and then in 1941 to Sheridan where they operated a farm on Red Prairie. After the death of Mrs. Nickerson, he moved to a residence on S. Bridge St. in Sheridan in 1975.

He is survived by four sons, Loyal of Sheridan, Edward of Cottage Grove, Delbert of Seattle and Kelton of Dallas; a daughter, Deloris of Sheridan; two sisters residing in Kansas; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
