Katherine was the daughter of Dr. Edmund Wallen Bill (b.1864 NY) and Susan Saltonstall Seabury (b.1869 NY), and was a direct line descendant of Samuel Seabury, the first Episcopal bishop of America, as well as Captain Henry Martin Beare.

She married Preston Bacon in Tarrytown, New York in the spring of 1922 at Christ Church. He was a WWI veteran, the son of Levi Seward Bacon who was a patent attorney in Washington DC as well as an inventor.

They settled in White Plains, where they had 2 daughters:
1. Suzanne Seabury, b. Nov 1922
2. Barbara Winthrop, b. Jun 1927

About the year 1932 the Bacons moved to Westport, CT where the girls grew to adulthood and Katherine spent the remainder of her days.
