Clark was born to Curt and Mary Reed.
He was born and raised in Thurman and graduated from Thurman High School in 1949.

He served in the Korean War, he was a medic in the 9th Infantry Battalion, “Home of the Manchu Medics”. After the war ended in 1953, he would return home to attend Peru State College and graduate with a Business Degree.

He would spend his summers driving a bus in Yellow Stone National Park, where he would meet his future wife, Vera LaDean Murdock. He started traveling, selling software with his friend Bob, working at Mutual of Omaha. Then he would work for Douglas County as a Systems Programmer from July 1976-May 1998.
He enjoyed coyote hunting with his brother, Gale. His real passion was flying his Ultralight Eagle XL, he would have 3 throughout the years. He was a member of the Omaha Chapter, “Drag-on-Flyers”.

Clark was an exceptional human being, he was kind and soft spoken. He was always on the go and helping others. He was a member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. His love and dedication was unparalleled. He was always taking the missionaries to dinner or mowing the yards of members that were unable to. He worked in the Genealogy Center for 10 years and spent 4 days a week as a temple worker.
