Puppy Davis. my second dog (as I was too young too remember our very first dog named Fifi.)All I know about Fifi is that she had a very tragic end because even today in 2020, no one wants to tell me what happened to her.

As for Puppy Davis, my family got her as a young puppy for me when I was 5 years old. Puppy was a black and white poodle and looked a lot like the cartoon Snoopy.

Puppy was so naughty as a tiny Puppy. She destroyed tons of my shoes, lipsticks and anything she could sink her teeth in. I adored Puppy though so I let her do pretty much as she pleased.

While Puppy usually ate her Mighty Dog food, whenever we would make spaghetti she demanded her own plate of spaghetti. She scarfed it down and would always end up with a hiiarious bright orange beard from the spaghetti sauce.

While Puppy was my dog, she had a deep admiration for my Grandpa and they spent quite a bit of time together. When we put Puppy in the car she would start going wild in the car when we were aboit 5 minutes away from his home. When we let her out of the car she flew over to him in lighting speed.

At around age 14 Puppy began having seizures so our vet put her on some medication that decreased the amount of seizures. When Puppy was 16 I took a job as a teaching assistant in the Psychology and Sociology department at Red Rocks Community College in November of 1994. It was my first day on the job and Puppy seemed to be doing very well. I hugged her and told her I would be back later. Sadly when I got home from the first day of work I got the terror of my life when I opened the door and saw Puppy laying there dead near the door. I was devastated. That dog had been there for me from kindergarten all the way to college. I called my vet and asked him if he had any idea what hapoened to her. He said it was very likely due to very old age and Puppy most likely had a heart attack.

It was a very sad time, Puppy brought such joy to my life. I still love her today as I did then.
