Mrs. Glenda Faye Barnes was born on Monday, February 17, 1930, daughter of the late William "Bill" and Rosie (Hughes) Riddle.

Mrs. Barnes died Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at the age of 77 years, and 3 days.

Born in Imboden, Lawrence County, Arkansas, she had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann, Poisett County, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include her husband, Vernon Barnes of the home; three daughters, Margaret Tinsley and Brenda Walton both of Jonesboro and Darlene Bishop of Trumann; four sisters, Lucille Vandegriff of Pocahontas, Wilma Madden of Tyronza, Mildred Knuckles of Harrisburg and Jean Hield of Memphis, Tenn.; a twin brother, Ray Riddle of Harrisburg; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by three brothers and her parents.

Funeral service will be Friday, February 23rd at 10:00 a.m. at the First Assembly of God, with Rev. Frank Hardwick officiating. Burial will follow in the Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro, Arkansas with Thompson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Bishop, Chad Bishop, Bradley Bishop, Chuck Colvin, Jimmy Dale Walton and Tyler Colvin. Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandsons.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the First Assembly of God on Willow Road, Trumann, Ark.
