Newt Williams, 71, died Monday, December 26, at six a.m. in Clark County Hospital after a weeks illness. Funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the Campton Methodist Church with Rev. Murrell officiating. The body was returned from Clark County Hospital and lay in state at Hearne Funeral Home from Tuesday until the time of the funeral. Burial was in Evans Cemetery, Campton, with Hearne in charge.

The deceased is survived by seven daughters; Mrs. Blanche Jones, Mrs. Bertie Salley and Mrs. Eunice Franz all of Cincinnati, Mrs. Mildred Selby, Middletown, Ohio, Mrs. Ada Deprato, Somerset; Mrs. Frances Montjoy, Cheviot, Ohio and Mrs. Betty Oliver, Campton, three sons; French and Ray Williams, both of Middletown, Ohio and Virgil Williams of Campton.

Also two brothers, Courtney Williams of Ohio and Jasper Williams of Frenchburg, six sisters; Vesta Horton, Illinois, Nannie Dilley, Petersburg, Indiana, Etta Gosney, California, Laura Cox, Campton, Ollie Grisham, California and Ida Dennis, Frenchburg.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his wife 26 years ago.
