Sam Brown (age 16) was murdered by his father along with his mother, Lynnette Brown, and younger brother, Hayes Brown. He attended Foster High School in Richmond, Texas. Sam played trumpet in the Foster Band, was on the tennis team, and loved playing baseball on the school's JV baseball team. He really wanted to play baseball in college & maybe the pros. He planned on going to college and majoring in sports medicine.
He was loved by all and will be missed. We will never forget.

2020 Texas Prep Baseball "Pitcher of the Week" - 2

For this week we name our pitcher of the week recognition for Sam Brown. Sam was a Junior at Foster where he made his 1st and only Varsity appearance before becoming a victim of senseless violence. In his only Varsity appearance, Sam Brown pitched 3 innings giving up 2 hits, 1 run while striking out 0 and walking 4. But he numbers just don't matter. What matters is we had a brilliant young soul stolen from our community who deserved much better. Someone who had an immense affect on his friends and acquaintances as I witnessed from the 100's of emails, text messages, and tweets we received from those who he touched in some way. Quotes from teammates and friends sums it up the best;

"He was brought up to the team that day and later that night passed away. He was an amazing team player and a guy anyone would want around in any situation ever." "He worked hard for that moment and sadly had his future taken away."

"Sam Brown, a beloved friend and teammate at Foster High School, passed away last night." " He was an excellent pitcher and was moved up on Friday to pitch for the varsity team."

"He was a tremendous kid who had a lot going for him."
