Jerome Michael Pagett
FALLBROOK - Jerome Michael Pagett, a 48-year Fallbrook resident, died June 9. He was 51. He was born May 30, 1940, in Los Angeles, he moved to Fallbrook at age 3 and graduated from Fallbrook High School in 1959. He served in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1965.
Following that he operated a trenching business in Fallbrook for many years, specializing in grove irrigation systems. He was last field manager of the Robert H. Pankey Ranch in Bonsall.
As a hobby Jerry liked to collect and restore antique tractors and farm equipment. He liked to travel around the U.S. to see what equipment he could find and procure for his collection.
Jerry became ill with lymphoma several years prior to his passing. He received treatment and valiantly fought this disease. It was in remission at times, but it eventually claimed his life. He was receiving treatment in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico at the time of his death.
A vigil will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, with a funeral Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 13 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Fallbrook. Burial will be at Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery. Berry-Bell and Hall Fallbrook Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
