Ernest Paul Rudolf Eggert

He was born to Gottfried Eggert and Justine Sabrowsky. He was baptized on April 1, 1888 in the St. John's Lutheran Church, Chaska, Carver, Minnesota. He was baptized by Rev. H. Raedeke. His sponsors were Christian Dungofsky, Rudolf Ehrlichmann and Henrietta Sabrowske (Sabrowsky).

Left to mourn his death was his parents; brothers, Frederick Herman Eggert, August Herman Eggert, William "Bill" Gustav Eggert, Henry Samuel Eggert, Alfred Walter Eggert, Theodore "Ted" Ludwig Eggert and Werner Henry Eggert; and sisters, Anna Caroline (John) Lemke, Minnie Mathilda (Clayton) Arine and Amalia Elsie (Henry) Scheunemann.

He was preceded in death by Infant Twins Eggert, Infant sister Luise Helene Eggert and Infant brother, Paul Rudolph Eggert.

American Legion Rites Held for Two Departed
American Legion funeral services were held for Ernest Eggert and Peter Caroni in the B. C. Wallace Chapel yesterday morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. Royal A. Simonds, past chaplain of Karl Ross Post conducted the rites. Interment for Eggert was in Park View Cemetery and interment for Caroni was in the San Joaquin Cemetery.

Both men served in the Army during the World War and were Legion members. Eggert held membership in Karl Ross Post No. 16 and Caroni belonged to the Gilroy Post.

Pallbearers were Joe Patterson, Jack Palmer, Frank McKee, L. J. Helmley, F. E. Schwarz, O. A. Jacobsen, Charles Giacone and W. W. Clark.
