George Ralph CRANE was born on 13 SEP 1925 in Montpelier, Bear Lake, Idaho to George Franklin CRANE & Gladys Celeste "Casty" PETERSON.

At the age of 11, his father, George Franklin, died at age 39 of an embolism from an impacted throat. During his youth, young George worked hard to earn money in an effort to help his mother support her family (George had 5 siblings).

George graduated from Montpelier High School on 28 MAY 1943. He joined the US Military shortly thereafter and served in World War II.

After his military service, George headed off to Moscow, Idaho, where he attended the University of Idaho. There, he met his future bride, Gladys Irene PFEIFFER.

Because Gladys was a new convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, they were married on June 6th, 1948 in the backyard of her parent's home in Challis, Idaho. A year later, their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple.

In June of 1950, both George & Gladys graduated from the University of Idaho (he with a degree in Physics and she with a degree in Bacteriology).

They are the parents of six sons: Gerald Ross CRANE, Franklin Michael CRANE, Curtis Ralph CRANE, Marshall Edward CRANE, Clair Dustin CRANE; and Milan Stewart CRANE.

In 1953, George served in the Korean War, US Air Force, 5th Division, 90th Squadron, 3rd Bomb Wing. George continued serving in the military until his retirement as a Lieutenant Colonel on 26 JUN 1974.

On May 25th, 1994, George's beloved wife, Gladys, died of diabetic complications at the age of 65.

Shortly thereafter, George married Betty Anne (nee Joss) DEAN. Anne died on February 2nd, 2019.

A few months later, George died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 94.
