Mary Ann Cecil was the daughter of William Cecil & Rebecca Buttram. She was born in Cecil, Arkansas.
She was about the eleventh of seventeen children.
Mary Ann Cecil married William David Dalton about 1863.
To this union, they had a total of twelve children,
William 'Albert'', Rebecca Anna, Mary Elizabeth, Martha 'Mattie' Adeline, Sarah Lavonda 'Vandy', Paney 'Rachael', Emily 'Emley' Jane, Arva 'zena',
George Washington, Andrew Jackson 'Jack', Francis Ideller 'Ida', and Rosay Geneva 'Rosie/Rose/Rosalie/Rosa'. William David & Mary Ann lost Rebecca Anna as she lived just a little over seven months.
William Is said to have participated in 'The Run'' for land.
After William died in 1906, they donated some land for poor folks to be buried their and Mary Ann sold the homestead. An elder cousin that his mom knew and lived with the family, stated that he believes Mary Ann went
To New Mexico area to live with her daughter.
In later years, Mary Ann went blind.
