Chris Joseph Fiorito Jr. a lifetime New Rochelle resident died on October 13, 2000. He was 65. Mr. Fiorito was born on April 21, 1935 in New Rochelle to Chris and Mamie (Cioffoletti) Fiorito. He served in the US Navy in the 1950's, where he played in the Navy Band. Mr. Fiorito was an Entertainer who spent the majority of his years in Las Vegas where he played the Trumpet with Top Performers, including Louis Prima, Frank Sinatra, and Wayne Newton. In addition to his parents, Chris and Marie Fiorito, he is survived by a brother Frank Fiorito and his wife Rose Mary of White Plains, and a sister Catherine LaVista and her husband Tony of Norwarlk, CT. He is also survived by a niece, Debbie Abromaitis of Farmington, CT and a nephew, John Fiorito of Martha's Vineyard, MA. Also surviving is his companion, Delores Monteleone. Visiting will be Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Monday at 10:30 AM at Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will follow at Beechwood Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Shrine of St. Jude, 414 E. 82nd St, New York, NY 10130.
