Thomas Edward Jewell, 81, Cynthiana, passed away July 10, 2007 at Edgemont Manor Nursing Home in Cynthiana. Born September 19, 1925 in Beattyville, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Boone and Carley Johnson Jewell. He married Peggy Gooden in 1974 and his wife survives his passing. for 23 years he worked for Production Plating and for many years he was a farmer.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and he was a member of the Berry Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Parnel Jewell and Charles Jewell and one sister, Catherine Cole.

In addition to his wife, Peggy Jewell, he is survived by two daughters: Rosemary (Dave) Custard and Donna Gayle (Brian) Northcutt, both of Cynthiana; a stepson, David Adams, Garland, Utah; 4 grandchildren: Felicia Price, Chad Price, Keith Northcutt, and Ben Northcutt; 2 great grandsons, Blake Price and Dylan Price; one sister, Pearlie Mae Ante, Cincinnati, Ohio, 2 brothers, Hubert Jewell, Cincinnati, and Daniel Boone Jewell, Frenchburg.

Funeral services were July 12, 2007 at Woodhead Funeral Home in Berry. Interment took place in the Pythian Grove Cemetery in Berry.

Memorials suggested to the Hospice of the Bluegrass, 506 E. Pike Street, Cynthiana, KY 41031.
