He was born in the Osceola, Iowa. Hospital on April 7th, 1933.

He attended elementary school in Decatur County, Iowa. and for his high school years he lived with his great aunt and uncle, John and Wilma Myers. He graduated from Millersburg, Iowa High School in 1952.

After graduation he enlisted in the Army for three years and served in France and Germany.
Following his discharge from the Army, he attended apprentice school of carpentry in Casper, Wy. an industry in which he worked for most of his life.

He worked and lived in the Windsor, Colo. area where he was also a member of the Windsor Baptist Church, serving the Lord in various opportunities there.

He is survived by his loving wife of almost 63 years; sons, daughter, grandchildren, and numerous Great-Grandchildren as well as siblings .

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dorthey and Osa Garber; sons James and Ronald Garber, and Grandson David Luke Onley.
